It Happened On the Fourth of July

 

July 4, 1826 is a unique date, to be sure!  If you are an American, just "July 4" in itself is significant.  But then add "1826".

Two former presidents died within hours of each other on Independence Day, July 4, 1826.  That was fifty years after they were both influential in getting the Declaration of  Independence approved.
